The goal of this project was to transform a historically mobile-only app into a fully functional desktop experience while maintaining its core usability and design integrity. By optimizing the user interface for larger screens, adapting navigation patterns, and rethinking key functionality, the project aimed to enhance accessibility and increase user engagement across platforms. The desktop version would allow for seamless transitions between devices, offering users more flexibility and convenience without sacrificing the app’s original mobile-focused simplicity, thereby broadening its appeal and reach in new ways for both current and potential users.
A vast majority of patients experience significant relief within just 10 weeks or less with Oshi's treatments.
Most undiagnosed patients receive a clear and accurate diagnosis within just 3 months of starting service.
There has been a significant reduction in unnecessary procedures and tests, leading to an increase in customer satisfaction.

To transition from a mobile-first product to a responsive design, the focus was on enhancing usability for desktop users while preserving the app’s simplicity. The design approach involved adapting mobile features to accommodate larger screens, ensuring intuitive navigation and seamless engagement. Specific desktop needs were addressed by reorganizing key elements for better interaction without overcomplicating the interface. This resulted in a flexible, consistent experience across platforms. In addition, the design allowed for scalability, ensuring that future updates could easily adapt to both mobile and desktop environments as user needs evolved.
The dashboard homepage now includes a dedicated care team section, allowing users to easily view their healthcare providers. This enhances communication, ensures coordinated care, and provides quick access to key team members.
Users can easily manage their appointments and review past visit summaries in a single, streamlined dashboard, improving accessibility and enhancing their overall experience with detailed, well-organized records.
The appointment booking system mirrors the mobile user flow, offering a familiar and intuitive experience across devices. This ensures consistency and ease of use, allowing users to book appointments effortlessly regardless of device.
An integrated chat feature seamlessly synchronizes current and archived conversations between mobile and desktop, ensuring real-time updates and allowing users to easily access their messages across platforms.

I deepened my understanding of UX and product design by focusing on creating seamless, cross-platform experiences that prioritize user engagement. The project reinforced the importance of adapting mobile UX for desktop, while ensuring intuitive interactions and simplifying complex processes. It also underscored the critical role of user feedback in refining product design to meet evolving needs.
Moving forward, I would improve the product across all platforms by conducting comprehensive usability testing and further research. This would help refine task flows, identify pain points earlier, and allow for continuous iteration, ensuring the product effectively meets user needs and expectations.
